Witches were on the prowl at Retford Golf Club on Halloween, when the Lady Captain’s and Lady Vice’s teams took to the course to try to trounce each other. In fact, it was Lady Captain and her ‘coven’ that were victorious, but it was heartening to see 40 ladies turn out for this event and so many join in the fun. The impromptu judging of costumes resulted in prizes for Julie Wright and Biddy Johnson.
