Blyth Players present Costa del Stumble, a comedy play by Jeanette Adams, on Friday 6th October at 7.15pm and Saturday 7th October at 2.15pm and 7.15pm.
After receiving an offer she couldn’t refuse, Mrs Ditch, an unusual, eccentric landlady, decided to sell her B&B in England and move out to the Costa del Carling in sunny Spain where she runs a holiday campsite complete with a traditional Spanish tavern, pool and other amenities.
The Thorndike family are looking forward to a fun-packed holiday schedule in the lovely Spanish town of Maracus Carakus, taking in as many of the sights as possible. They are soon joined by some unusual families and interesting individuals, each with very different ideas about how they will spend their time in the popular, busy resort. The estranged but loyal staff provide activities and a ‘Kids Club’ like no other, which brings the children together in an unlikely alliance to turn detective to solve a real crime which occurs at the local Museo. Who can they trust? Who is acting stranger than usual? Can they solve the mystery before it’s time to leave?
Lots of fun and laughs are had upon the way as the different characters meet each other and interact with hilarious results. The play is directed by Sharon Hughes and can be seen at Barnby Memorial Hall, Blyth. Tickets cost £7. Call 07784 916250 or visit www.ticketsource.co.uk/blythplayers.
