Retford Heritage Open Day will be taking place this year on Saturday 9th September, when 12 buildings in town will be freely open for you to explore. See the September issue of Retford Life Magazine for full details.
Thanks to Retford Life Magazine, Retford Civic Society and Chesterfield Canal Trust, you and your family (maximum four seats) could be passengers on the ‘Seth Ellis’ along the Canal and experience going through the locks.
The Chesterfield Canal was opened on 4th June 1777. It was a magnificent engineering achievement for its time, including the 2,880-yard Norwood Tunnel and some of the earliest examples of staircase locks.
To be in with a chance of winning a trip for your family, email your details to email@example.com.
