Volunteer with Bassetlaw Hospice

by | 21 November 2017 | Local Charity, Retford, Worksop

The Bassetlaw Hospice charity supports the palliative care service for patients from Bassetlaw, at what is always a very difficult time in their lives. Over 80 volunteers generously give their time to help with a range of tasks including driving patients, reception, assisting in the kitchen, gardening and helping in the day hospice. Some prefer to be part of the hospice’s fundraising activities — helping in the retail shops in Worksop and Retford, serving in the tea bar at Retford Hospital or assisting the team with a range of fundraising events.

The charity is always keen to hear from anyone interested in volunteering, it may be you or you may know someone who has the time or a desire to become involved. Volunteers bring their life skills, become part of a friendly local team of like-minded people and, above all, enhance the service provided to patients.

Further information and application forms are available from the Appeal Office, 4 Jubilee Courtyard, Retford, call 01777 710444 or email give@bassetlawhospice.org. Staff in the office are happy to chat about the roles available and offer sample days before making a final commitment.
