The Screen at Retford Little Theatre is delighted to be showing the much-acclaimed comedy ‘The Duke’, starring Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren, on Friday 4th November at 7.30pm.
‘The Duke’ tells the real life story of the theft of the portrait of the Duke of Wellington in the sixties, but then what to do with it?
On this occasion memberships for The Screen’s next season will be on sale at £20.00 – six good films starting with Sir Kenneth Branagh’s ‘Belfast’ in January of next year.
Before that, however, and on sale now, are tickets for Steven Spielberg’s re-make of the wonderful ‘West Side Story’. Just £5.00 including a prize draw of a nice bottle of bubbly, for what will prove to be a great afternoon out at the Theatre. This will take place on Saturday 26th November starting at 3.00pm, so book your place as soon as possible.
As usual you can ring 07504 717931 or email TheScreen@rlt.org.uk from nine days before for members and four days for non-members to reserve your place, or you can come on the night for a fiver. The bar will be open and ice creams on sale.
