The rise and fall of the pelvic floor

by | 8 November 2017 | Community Event, Retford

One in three women at some point in their life are affected by bladder, pelvic floor or prolapse symptoms. Worse still most women are not aware of what self-help and professional help is available for these distressing problems that generally tend to worsen without taking action. As physiotherapist’s who have undertaken specialist post-graduate training in women’s health, Kate Stower and Jenny Blizard are constantly surprised just how many women suffer unnecessarily with problems that are treatable. The simplest steps are often the ones most overlooked. They have both kindly offered their time to educate the ladies of Retford about the pelvic floor, and to provide invaluable advice to help you manage any problems. This will be their 10th free talk in our town in conjunction with Pilates Clinic Retford.

It takes place on Thursday 16th November from 7.45pm to 9.30pm at Pilates Clinic Retford, Dental 22 Buildings, Chapelgate, Retford DN22 6PL. This will be a relaxed, fun, informative and free event. Refreshments will be provided in return for a small donation to our local Retford Multiple Sclerosis Society Support Group.
