Summer Reading Challenge Awards

22 children in Misterton completed the Summer Reading Challenge this year — reading at least six books during the summer holiday — and were presented with their certificates and medals on Saturday 21st September, at Misterton Library. Congratulations to them all!

Presenting the awards, Councillor Hazel Brand gave some good news from Misterton Primary School: pupils at Key Stage 1 and 2 had both done exceptionally well in reading. KS1 was better than the average for the county, and KS2 was better than the average of both county and England.

Both Councillor Marsden and Councillor Brand thanked the library volunteers, who organised the event and help to keep the library open.
