Summer is nearly over. Looking for something to do as the nights draw in which involves gentle exercise, a chat and a laugh? Then look no further.
The Retford and District Scottish Country Dance Society start their new season of dance classes on Tuesday 12th September. These are held every Tuesday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Chapelgate Hall, which is to the rear of Grove Street Methodist Church, Retford DN22 6LB.
This is a mixed ability group of all ages, and you are very welcome to join them. You don’t need any previous experience; you don’t need to bring a partner as members all mix around; just a pair of comfortable shoes and most important of all, a sense of humour. Gents, you don’t even need a kilt. The first night is free, and thereafter the charge works out at £3 per week.
If you are looking for some gentle exercise for body and mind in a social environment, then this is just the thing for you. To find out more, contact secretary Bill Barratt on 01777 705182 or by email to email@example.com or visit www.retfordscottishdance.orgfree.com — or better still just come along on Tuesday evenings.
