Paul Lane has been working with a group of adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) for some time. So this year, whilst planning his boot camps they decided to split the money between the charity that supports PWS and another charity. They doubled what they expected to raise and donated £500 to PWS.
Karen Wilkinson, fundraising manager for PWS, said it is fantastic that Paul is supporting adults with PWS and raising awareness on our behalf. The funds are so important to the association as it gets no health or government funding.
PWS is a rare syndrome with around 2,000 people in the UK. Around Retford we have a home where a group of PWS adults live and there are also some local children with this life-long condition.
