Eaton village residents will be opening their gardens on Sunday 2nd July from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
There will be a great variety of gardens available to wander around, ranging from large extensive flower and vegetable gardens to small compact cottage gardens — some have been landscape designed and others have just developed as time goes by. A display of classic cars will be on show in one of the gardens.
A very relaxed afternoon will be on offer for anybody visiting Eaton on that day. As well as touring the gardens, there will be refreshments available and preserves and plants for sale. The church will also be open and the beautiful Eaton village mosaic by the river will also be worth a viewing.
Proceeds from the afternoon will go towards the Bassetlaw Hospice, Eaton Church and future Eaton events. The admission fee for the afternoon will be £2 each for adults and free for children up to the age of 16. Do come and join Eaton residents — nice weather has been booked!
Gringley residents are back again for another very special day on Sunday 11th June, when Gringley on the Hill will be opening some of their outstanding gardens and there will be the usual fantastic display of classic cars. Also this year, there will be a craft fair in the church and Steam Punk will appear.
Add to this the Yarn Bomb, mouthwatering refreshments and the bus travelling round to the various events and you have an amazing day out. So come along between 12.00pm and 5.00pm and for the small price of £5 (primary school children free) you can have a wonderful day out in this beautiful village.
