Everton Garden Holders have a special meeting on Monday 11th September, when members welcome Alison Doxey whose small garden won a Gold at Chelsea in 2016. Her illustrated talk about the planning, construction and final garden are fascinating — what a lot of work went into it. The talk is in Everton Village Hall at 7.30pm and tickets are £2.00 for members and £3.00 for non-members, to include tea and cake. This is a joint venture with Gringley and Misterton clubs. On Sunday 17th September group members are holding their annual Village Show. There will be lots of classes, including vegetables, flowers, plants, crafts, flower arranging, cooking, children’s – so please come and enter. There is a schedule in the latest HEDS. If you have any queries, please call 01777 818993. The show is open between 2.00pm and 4.00pm and there will be wonderful teas available.

Everton WI start off their autumn programme with an evening bowling at the Everton Bowls Club — fortunately there will be expert tuition available, but member always have a fun evening and end up with refreshments and a bit of a chat in the Tea Rooms afterwards.
