The Markham Clinton Community Project (MCCP) committee would like to thank its dedicated band of helpers who turn up week in, week out and to also thank everyone for continuing to support events. The response from everyone has been amazing. MCCP is coming up to the end of its first year and it has been excited to see ideas come to fruition, with increasing numbers of people attending events.
Upcoming events are:
Cuppa and Cake – Saturday 4th November, 10.30am to 12.30pm
Bonfire Night themed! No need to book, just stop in for a chat over a cuppa. Delicious cakes and biscuits, book exchange and a raffle. Cost is free, but donations gratefully accepted. Next one will be the Christmas Cuppa and Cake and will be held on Saturday 16th December.
Art Club – Wednesdays, 10.30am to 12.30pm
With local, talented artist Derek Spence. Cost £8.00; runs in six-week blocks. Contact Cindy on 07763 631952 or Victoria on 07866 416269 for further details or just pop in to say hello and meet everyone. Lots of Christmas themed activities, running up top Christmas, including wreath-making on 6th December.
Quiz Night – Friday 3rd November
At the ‘Pub with No Beer’. Quiz Master John Lambert, teams of four or you can always join a team. Cost is £1.00 per person, soft drinks and snacks provided, bring your own alcohol. Call or message Victoria on 07866 416269 to book a place.
RenewU Keep Fit Classes – Fridays, 11.30am to 12.30pm
With Claudia, subsidised cost of £7.00 per person. Just bring an exercise mat; resistance bands and weights all available to use.
