Retford Heritage Day was a resounding success from the minute St Swithun’s bells rang out, the Mayor declared the event open and the Town Crier invited everyone to visit Retford’s heritage buildings.
Duke’s Dandy Clog and Rattlejag Morris Dancers performed around town during the day and the Town Hall was full of local artists demonstrating and displaying their work.
Retford Civic Society Chairman Derek Turner said: “A big thank you to everyone who helped with the organisation of the day and to the visitors who came along and made it all worthwhile. A great day for Retford once again!”
