A Fungi Foray and a Bird Ringing Demonstration are two events to wet the wildlife taste buds at Daneshill Lakes at Torworth this month, both events organised by the Friends of Daneshill Lakes. The Fungi Foray will be on Saturday morning, 12th October, starting at 10.00am. Members of the Notts Fungi Group will be guiding visitors on the plethora of fungi to be found at this time of year at the reserve. Open to visitors of all ages, this event is free to join with no pre booking required. The Foray will finish at 12.00pm. Meet in the Daneshill Lakes car park at 9.45am.

The Bird Ringing Demonstration takes place on Sunday 20th October between 9.00am and 1.00pm. The North Notts Ringing Group will be showing visitors how and why they carry out their important work. And it’s a great opportunity to see little birds up close. This is a drop-in event and free to all visitors.
