The Stocking Filler Markets are returning to Worksop and Retford for another year, giving visitors the chance to pick up unique gifts for loved ones, and enjoy entertainment for all the family. The popular markets provided by Bassetlaw District Council will take place on Retford Market Square on Tuesday 10th and 17th December, and on Thursday 12th and 19th December on Bridge Street in Worksop.

Each market will feature stalls selling presents that are perfect for stocking fillers or Secret Santa Gifts. You can look forward to browsing and buying products from Christmas Gift Traders, hearing music played by the Salvation Army Band and even meeting Santa Claus!

All the fun starts from 1.00pm and there will be entertainment for all the family including children’s rides, music from local school choirs singing Christmas Carols, and performances of Aladdin by Talegate Theatre.

David Armiger, Director of Regeneration, Neighbourhoods and Housing at Bassetlaw District Council, said: “We’re hoping that these additional markets will appeal to families and people who can’t normally get to our weekday and weekend markets.

“It’ll give everyone the chance to get into the Christmas spirit and as well as bring addition people into the town centres, and provide the opportunity to pick up an extra present or two.”

Retford’s Stocking Filler Market will take place on the Market Square on Tuesday 10th and 17th December. While Worksop’s Market will take place on Bridge Street on Thursday 12th and 19th December. Both markets will begin at 1.00pm.
