Westhill Art Group Exhibition
Saturday 17th August to Saturday 5th October
An exhibition of paintings and drawings. Most artworks are for sale. Westhill Art Group was formed around 10 years ago by local self-taught artist, Norma Spurdens, as a leisure activity for retired people in the Ordsall area. The group, which is now organised by another local artist, Pat Ward, meet at Westhill Community Centre every Tuesday afternoon. There is no set agenda, each member being free to choose their own subject and media. This results in an interesting mix of styles and ideas.

I remember when… exhibition
Saturday 21st September to Saturday 23rd November
This innovative exhibition presents a diverse range of objects that tell heart touching, surprising and powerful stories bringing to life the human presence behind any object. It is curated by the Bassetlaw residents who took part in the Stories and Objects workshops, led by Nottingham Trent University. The participants worked collaboratively with the museum staff towards creating displays showcasing their objects and revealing intriguing stories.
