The stunning Ellicar Gardens, Gringley-on-the-Hill, will be open to visitors for their annual charity open garden event on Sunday 17th September as part of the National Gardens Scheme (NGS).
Ellicar Gardens is a vibrant, naturalistic family garden which is a haven for garden and wildlife enthusiasts and children. Sweeping borders with new perennials and grasses grow alongside wild flowers and specimen trees.
The garden is beautiful in winter and vibrant in summer and highlights include a winter garden, hellebores, gravel garden, old roses, orchard and natural pool. Children love exploring the school garden and willow maze.
Last year there were over 500 visitors and the garden owners were able to support some fantastic charities through the National Garden Scheme. Ranskill Scouts are serving the teas and marshalling the event and they work very hard all afternoon as well. The garden will be open from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.
