The popular ‘CommuniTea on Tour’ events are coming to Retford on 5th and 6th December.
This heart-warming initiative has been facilitated by Bassetlaw Food Insecurity Network, in collaboration with Rhubarb Farm and FareShare Midlands. Bassetlaw Food Insecurity Network is a Bassetlaw Community and Voluntary Service project in Bassetlaw to encourage collaboration between all the different services in Bassetlaw that are working hard to tackle food insecurity.
Each social meal will allow attendees to enjoy a two-course meal for just £1.00 each, as well as giving people the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends in the local area.
Anyone can attend the events; they are open to the whole community and to people of any age.
The Retford meals will take place at 4.00pm to 6.00pm at Hallcroft Methodist Church on Monday 5th December and Grove Street Methodist Church on Tuesday 6th December.
The CommuniTea events that have recently taken place at Oasis Community Centre in Worksop and have been very successful. Over 250 people in total attended the three sittings and the positive feedback has been fantastic.
