‘Brilliance’ in Ordsall Parish Hall

Imagine life without electricity. Imagine life before it. Some isolated places were wired up only relatively recently. Farnham Maltings Theatre Co (remember ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’) bring ‘Brilliance’, a specially written show that charts the dramatic changes to rural lives with the arrival of electricity as it creeps from village to village during the winter of 1963.

‘Brilliance’ will be performed in Ordsall Parish Hall on Sunday 19th November at 6.30pm. A community gathers in the village hall, a hand rests on a light switch, and suddenly like magic nothing is ever the same again.

Hard to imagine a life without it today, electricity completely transformed country lives allowing people to gather, to celebrate, to work and simply to live. Made for an audience of adults (which older children aged 10 and over can enjoy), the show has a real community feel and will feature live music and song to conjure up the idea of celebration of which you will invited to be part. For tickets, costing £12.00 and including a light buffet supper or £6.00 for a child, call 01777 706433.
