Retford Mayor, Councillor Dan Henderson, opened the Creativity Unwrapped art exhibition at Retford Library on Saturday 2nd September.
Twelve local artists are on display throughout September, with a wide range of styles and mediums.
Councillor Henderson said: “The library is a very fitting venue for showing the wealth of talent that we have in the area. Thomas Hercy Denman, who originally lived here, gave his home for the public to use as a library. He was a great supporter of the arts in our town.”
Retford Civic Society organised the exhibition, as well as Retford Heritage Day on Saturday 9th September, when more than 20 artists demonstrated their skills in the Town Hall.
The exhibition will be on show until 20th October.
