A Festival of Remembrance

In partnership with the Mayor of Retford, The Rotary Club of Retford are preparing for the fifth annual Festival of Remembrance Concert at Retford Town Hall on Saturday 11th November, at 7.00pm.

The proceeds of the concert will be divided equally between The Royal British Legion and the Rotary Club of Retford.
The Remembrance Concert will be in two parts. The first half of the programme will be a mixture of music, singing, readings and entertainment. This will be provided by The Pleasley Colliery Welfare Band, the Synchro Singers from Retford (under the direction of Martin Yates), the Retford Pipes and Drums, and 1403 (Retford) Squadron ATC.

The second half of the programme will be an Act of Remembrance with readings, music and songs, followed by the Drumhead Service conducted by the Padre of the Royal British Legion, Reverend Felicity Feritter. This will be followed by Last Post, poppies and a time for reflection.
