Town Hall Live (THL) in Kirton has two concerts in November.
On Saturday 4th November, Lauren Housley headlines and she is back with a new six-piece band, The Northern Cowboys. The addition of keyboards, trumpet, saxophone and drums and a selection of new songs will give Lauren a more soulful direction.
Bob Harris has been a long-time advocate of Lauren’s music and she and the band have played at many of the country’s top festivals this year. Lauren’s voice is bluesy and soulful. Her songs bring an air of optimism, hope and overcoming obstacles.
Paul Sexton, another BBC broadcaster, sums Lauren up perfectly: “What I love about Lauren and the music she makes with her stellar band, is that she brings such a pure, spontaneous soulfulness to everything she touches.”
Lauren’s Town Hall Live concert will be the last of her current UK tour. Support from Stella Prince, a young singer songwriter from Nashville.
Tickets for the concert are priced at £15.00 and can be purchased from Morrisons Daily in town, from Brian on 01652 649230 or brianchudley@btinternet.com, or from www.wegottickets.com.
Then on Friday 17th November THL welcomes Daniel Rodriguez and band from Denver, Colorado.
Daniel was a founder member of the popular American band Elephant Revival, who disbanded in 2018 to pursue various solo projects. Since that time Daniel has released three solo albums and opened for The Lumineers on their 2022 World Tour, playing sold out shows across North America. Daniel is regarded as one of America’s finest song writers and performers.
He now embarks on a UK tour with his four-piece band comprising Zachary Jackson on bass, Justin Mazer on Telecaster and Emma Rose on percussion and backing vocals. Support will be from Emma, whose own band Sound of Honey released their debut album earlier this year.
Tickets for this concert are priced at £14.00 and are available from the outlets mentioned above.
2024 starts with three great concerts. On Friday 19th January – Wilson and Wakeman (£15.00), on Friday 26th January – The Good Lovelies (£16.00) and on Friday 9th February – Campbell Jensen. All three concerts are selling well and are destined to be sell outs. Get your tickets now.
