The Arts Society Gainsborough and District’s October lecture was given by Charlie Forman on ‘One Westminster, Six Royal Palaces’.

A member of the City of Westminster Guide Lecturers Association, Charlie Forman’s subject, sadly topical, addressed the palaces within Westminster and the 1,000 years that our monarchs have reigned from within this site.

His talk focussed on the forces that have shaped and changed London as a multi-faceted metropolis and the artistic and cultural heritage that this has given to us.

In upcoming lectures, on Thursday 3rd November Shauna Isaac tells members ‘How to Steal a Million’, and then on Thursday 1st December Ghislaine Howard will present ‘The Cuisine of Art and the Art of Cuisine’.
