Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club has been around since 1949. Their forays into pantomime are a little more recent than that, but since the 1960s the yearly panto quickly became a highlight of their calendar, both for members and patrons.
Cinderella is a tale that has been told and retold countless times through the ages, but there’s a distinct chance you haven’t seen a version quite like this before…
In Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club’s unusual retelling of this classic story, you will find answers to questions like: Is Cinderella truly in love, or is she just in love with being in love? What makes a hero a hero? Who is the villain? Will Cinderella find true love and happiness? What will happen when the Ugly Sisters finally call for Mummy? Will the King ever find his secateurs? Can the Fairy Godmother help bring about the Happily Ever After?
Combining all the classic pantomime elements you know and love, including a live four-piece band, cheering for the hero, a friendly singalong competition and everyone’s favourite – the sweeties – the group has added its signature modern twist that they really hope you will enjoy.
