The Imagination Museum: Mayflower 400 will be holding two very special free celebration dance performances at Gainsborough United Reformed Church, Church Street, Gainsborough DN21 2JR at 4.00pm and 5.45pm on Thursday 28th November. Schools and community groups are very welcome to attend. Booking for the free performances will be essential, with further details available nearer the time. See www.pilgrimroots.co.uk/events for further details.

The church will also be open for heritage mornings from 10.00am to 11.30am on Thursdays 7th and 21st November. Visitors can find out more about the Mayflower Pilgrims and the history surrounding the building of the church in the Mayflower Room, recently installed by CreateInn of Retford. Tea/coffee will be served in the café.

The church also contains a commemorative tablet to John Robinson and a display created by Bassetlaw Christian Heritage. The foundation stone was laid by the American ambassador, Hon Thomas Francis Bayard, on 29th June 1896. A booklet recounting the history of the church is available at a cost of £3.00.
