Theatres rely on audiences to keep afloat, and amateur theatre clubs are no exception.
When putting on a show the audience interaction is just as important as anybody up on the stage or behind the scenes. Actors rely on the reactions and energy from patrons to help deliver their best performances. Each local group will find that they have a loyal following who will attend shows, giving honest and constructive feedback.
At Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club, members are grateful for this loyalty and with this in mind have introduced a ‘Friends Of SLTC’ scheme.
For a yearly subscription, theatre ‘friends’ are entitled to two tickets for each group production that takes place at The Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe, a complimentary programme for each show, and their names in the programmes for the season. This subscription runs from July to June, and includes three shows – including the popular family pantomime.
The price is £35.00 for a full season, however as the first show of the season has just finished the price is £24.00 for the remaining two shows of the season. Normal ticket prices are £11.00 each for a non-panto show and £10.00 each for the pantomime, so this represents a great value offer.
The remaining shows for this season are Cinderella (11th to 13th January), and A Bunch of Amateurs (15th to 18th May).
