For the final concert of 2017, Town Hall Live Kirton in Lindsey welcomes back The Lauren Housley Band to Kirton on Friday 8th December.

2017 has seen them play many prestigious festivals including the Scarborough Blues Festival and the Beverley Folk Festival. Lauren will have a new album out for the concert, called The Beauty of this Life.

The band comprises of Lauren on vocals, Thomas Dibb on electric and acoustic guitar, Mark Lewis on bass, Chris Hillman on pedal steel, dobro and mandolin and Craig Hanson on drums and percussion. Chris was voted ‘Artist of the Year’ at this year’s UK Americana Awards. In July this year, Lauren released her latest album ‘The Beauty of This Life’.
The band also appear under the name of Chorlton Country Club playing Americana music rather than their trademark blues and soul genre in the Lauren Housley Band. The band will play the first set as Chorlton Country Club and the second as The Lauren Housley Band.

Lauren is undoubtedly the main focus, with her magnetic personality and her voice which is perfectly suited to the blues and soul inflected songs, which Tom and Lauren co-write. There are hints of blues, country, soul and rock in her locker, but she has a warm, intense and enjoyable style that is all her own.

Live she is simply breath taking, not only has she a powerful voice but her vocals come direct from the heart and soul. Seeing her live allows you to fully appreciate the fullness and texture of her sound. The organisers know, from her previous two performances, that her shows are a joy.

Come along and enjoy a great night of music from one of this country’s leading performers. Advance tickets are £13.50 from One Stop (Kirton), Brian on 01652 649230, or
