Fed up with paying an arm-and-a-leg for essential computer apps (applications to non-geeks!) when you either buy a new computer or upgrade your current hardware? Maybe it’s time for you to enter the open-source world!
Open source is a massive, worldwide, environment that believes in making technology freely available – and totally free to end-users. Open source encompasses a mass of different technologies – from motor cars to pharmaceuticals but for our purposes, they are concerned with open-source computer software.
Clarborough and Welham IT Group has been a focus for essential open-source apps for many years so if you’d like to get onboard – and get free apps too – why not get in touch to enrol in their next set of open source-based classes at Clarborough Village Hall. Currently their sources aim at Microsoft Windows, but the same apps are available for Apple Macs too.
Classes are arranged in five-week blocks starting on either Tuesday afternoons from 1.30pm to 3.00pm or Wednesday mornings from 10.00am to 11.30am, starting in week commencing 8th November for just £25.00 for a full five weeks of either session.
To find out more or to enrol, contact Greg on 01777 700918 or email clarboroughwelham@gmail.com.
You might also like to join them so that you are able to get up to date with Microsoft’s Windows 11 news, which is scheduled to be launched in 2022.
