Becca and Caroline’s ‘35 for 35’

by | 27 September 2017 | Community Event, Gainsborough, Local Charity

As part of St Barnabas’ 35th birthday my friend, Becca and I, are undertaking ‘35 for 35 Challenges’; throughout the year. I have taken part in the Lincoln 10k, we have undertaken a car wash, other things planned are 35 Random Acts of Kindness, walking 35 miles in a week; trying 35 ice cream flavours simultaneously just to name a few!

On a very wet day at the end of June we undertook our biggest challenge to date, cycling 103 miles in the Castle 2 Coast 2 Castle; never have I been so wet for so long and whoever said Lincolnshire is flat hasn’t ridden this route on a bike… but we did it!

At the end of September, we will be taking part in the London to Paris Cycle ride over 300 miles in four days; you may well see us out and about busy training. Hospice care is very close to our hearts with both our families having received amazing care and support from our local hospice in recent times; so, our aim is to raise £3,500 to support the continuing delivery of local community hospice services. Every penny really does make a difference; if you would like to find out more about our challenges and show your support please goes to
