Admirals amble

by | 25 September 2017 | Community Event, Gainsborough, Lions, Walking

Once again, the Gainsborough Lions will be holding the annual sponsored walk titled the Admirals Amble, in support of Dementia UK. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through the Admiral Nurse service which operates in Gainsborough.

The walk is a gentle stroll of about two miles on mainly flat ground. In the past, organisers have welcomed people with mobility scooters, wheel chairs, walking sticks, along with children of all ages. Dogs are welcome too but on a lead please, so why not make it a family Sunday afternoon walk? After the walk, hot soup will be available free of charge.
So come along to Rose’s Sports Ground, North Warren Road DN21 2TT on 29th October. Registration is from 1.00pm and the walk will commence at 2.00pm. Sponsor forms will be available from 1st October at Baron Beau, Lord Street, and The Street Café, Trinity Street. So once again come along and joins us The Lions and support the Admiral Nurses.
