Misterton Parish Council is already gearing up for the Christmas lights switch-on on Friday 5th December from 6.00pm to 8.00pm on Church Meadow. Once again, Santa is expected to be there – and Harworth Brass Band has been booked to play carols and seasonal tunes. Anyone wanting a stall should contact The Misterton Centre on 01427 890646.
In the Parish Church, there will be the Christmas Tree Festival. Last year, there were nearly 20 Christmas trees on display. Take a decorated tree to the Church between 1.00pm and 4.00pm on Friday 5th December. Once again, there’s a chance to win a prize for the best-dressed tree. But, this year, there’s a new ‘class’ to enter – a novelty tree! Another chance to win a prize. And there’s another chance for people to see the Christmas trees on Saturday 6th December (during the Church’s annual Christmas Coffee Morning from 10.00am to 12.00pm).
