Want to get the most out of your computer equipment, but you keep coming across niggly little (or sometimes big) questions? Do you need someone to point to the right key (literally) to solve your problem, or someone to open your eyes to other possibilities? Clarborough and Welham IT Group could be just the place for you to get support. With a welcoming atmosphere and regular attendees who have a range of skills already at their fingertips and tutor support to help and guide you, our IT Group can open your eyes to many new uses for your computer.
Laptop sessions are based around so-called open source software such as Apache Open Office or Libre Office and Gimp image editor with a range of further applications also available — all are free and are also available for Apple Macs and Linux distros. We can provide their downloads for you. Recent topics have included spreadsheets, image editing and pictures-into-text documents to name just a few. Each session starts with a ‘gardeners’ question time’, so you can guide the topics!
IT Group classes continue on Tuesdays, from 1.30pm to 3.00pm, or Wednesdays from 10.00am to 11.30am, starting the week commencing January at just £20.00 for five weeks. Bring your own laptop or use one of our Windows 10 machines.
We also have plans for Friday evening sessions, starting in early January 2019, with specialist focus on digital camera image editing and artistic approaches. This latter needs a minimum membership to make it happen! To find out more, or to enrol, get in touch — or better, come to Clarborough Christmas Tree Lighting on Wednesday 5th December, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, at our Village Hall to have a chat.
