The Snow Drop and Aconite Walk held in the former grounds of Somerby Hall, by kind permission of the Laming family, was a fantastic success. In total, 51 people supported the event which raised £250 for St Laurence’s Church, Corringham. Somerby Hall was home to the Beckett family until 1915.
Music for a Summer’s Evening
‘Music for a Summer’s Evening’ a concert by Thea Butterworth will be held in St Laurence’s Church, Corringham, on Friday 26th May at 7.30pm. It has been organised by the PCC of Corringham Church and proceeds will be divided between St Laurence’s Church and All Saints Church, Pilham. Tickets cost £8 per person which includes a glass of wine and nibbles.
Thea is a talented young harpist from Lincolnshire who has been playing for over ten years winning several competitions along the way. She is currently finishing her studies at the Royal College of Music.
Thea has also played for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and the National Children’s Orchestra for over five years. She has toured extensively across Europe with the Lincolnshire Youth Symphony Orchestra where she continues to offer her support as a harpist.
She plays at all types of events from weddings, including ceremonies, drinks receptions and corporate events. She has a growing repertoire of classical and popular music to suit all tastes.
