The Road Crash Remembrance Service and Thanksgiving for the work of the emergency services will take place on Sunday 17th November at 3.00pm in St John’s Church, Scofton-with-Osberton (well signed off the Worksop/Retford road).
This annual special church service, open to all, marks the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, officially designated by the UN Remembrance. It will be held especially for those who grieve, there will be hymns and special prayers for those who have died or been injured on the roads, for those who mourn, for those who care for the injured, and for the emergency services. There will be candles to light for those we remember and oak leaves to dedicate to them. All are welcome at this gentle, healing service for those who are wounded in spirit.
People who know Scofton Church find it a very peaceful place. If you know of anyone who might find it helpful to take this opportunity to reflect and remember, to give thanks for the joys we have known, and to join with others who understand the pain, please pass the word around.
